APR

Annual Percentage Rate.

The annualized interest rate, not accounting for compounding.

APY

Annual Percentage Yield.

The annualized interest rate, accounting for compounding.

BCV

Bond Control Variable.

The scaling variable controlling bond prices. A higher BCV means a lower discount to bonders and higher inflation of the protocol. A lower BCV means higher discount for bonders and lower inflation of the protocol.

DCV

Deflation Control Variable.

The scaling variable governing buying pressure from the protocol. A higher DCV leads to higher buying pressure from the protocol and stronger deflation. A lower DCV leads to lower buying pressure from the protocol and weaker deflation.

DAO

Decentralized Autonomous Organisation. A governance mechanism by which decisions are more trustless and collaborative. Votes are made using a governance token, in our case sMINE.

DeFI

Short for decentralized finance, DeFi is an umbrella term for peer-to-peer financial services on public blockchains.

Forks

In blockchain technology, a fork is a copy of an existing protocol, which is then usually amended to customize it, but based on the previous model.

pMINE

A pre-sale options token, which is redeemable for MINE at a 1:1 ratio.

sMINE

A MINE token that has been staked is converted to sMINE token. sMINE tokens are redeemable for MINE at a 1:1 ratio.

PCV

Protocol-Controlled Value.

The value of the treasury controlled by the protocol. A higher value is better. POL Protocol-Owned Liquidity. The amount of its own liquidity the protocol owns. Higher is better.

RFV

Risk-Free Value.

The amount of funds the treasury guarantees as backing for MINE.

Stablecoins

A stablecoin is a class of cryptocurrencies that attempt to offer price stability and are backed by a reserve asset.

TVL

Total Value Locked. The total sum of the value staked in the BiaDAO in Dollars. A growing TVL is a sign of growth.
